Before we begin our trip, let me update you on the country....

Honduras is a country in development located at the heart of the central american Region. We are still considered part of North America and not Mexico nor South America, as many people so believe. Honduras gained its independence on Septemeber 15th, 1821 from Spain and in July 1823 we became independent form Mexico. The country is mostly dependent on agriculture and with globalization we have been slightly switching to some manufactured goods, as is the textiles industry. In terms of natural beauty we posses the worlds second largest coral reef, the biosphere of the Patuca River, the Ramsar Site 1000 (swampy forests), the Copán Ruins, Yojoa Lake, Pico Bonito and many other more features that are considered natural treasures.

In area Hondruas has around 112,000 square kilometers, this is roughfly the size of Ohio. We share borders with Guatemala and El Salvador on the west and with Nicaragua on the east end. Our national language is spanish, and our population is a little over 7 Million inhabitants. Most of the country is geared towards agricutlure, we where known internationaly as the "Banana Republic", due to our great production of Bananas. Honduras also produces a lot of Coffee, another mean of sustaining our economy are shrimp for exports and tourism. Some of the main attractions are the Capital, (Tegucigalpa); the cities of San Predro Sula, La Ceiba, Copán, Puerto Córtez, Trujillo, Choluteca, Amapala and Comayagua.

We will start our trip from the capital, and even though I can't promise you we will visit all the cities in Honduras, I can take you for a trip around all the amazing things you can do nearby. I have also set up a yelp account so you can check my reviews on restaurants, hotels, and businesses in Honduras.
